BODY AS EQUIPMENT

This series was generated by training AI on both the design and advertising visuals of Adidas' Equipment (EQT) line and the artist’s own body data. The distortions and inconsistencies introduced by AI’s characteristic “hallucinations” blur the boundaries between body and technology. EQT’s pursuit of functionality, once filtered through these digital processes, is amplified to such a degree that it becomes difficult to tell where the flesh ends and the equipment begins.

At the heart of this work lies a post-human perspective: the body is not a static entity, but rather something perpetually reconfigured. Beyond mere athletic support, it transforms into a platform that adapts to new media and tools. Figures draped in fluid, metallic textures seem to search for the contours of their humanity, even as they merge with their environment and artificial constructs. Here, EQT’s concept of “supporting the body” intersects with our vision of the future , challenging preconceived ideas about what a body is or should be. Ultimately, this project acts as a catalyst for reexamining the body’s fixed image and offers a lens through which to explore emerging selves in a society where technology and the body intertwine.
